    falco turbo

    Hey there.
    I have just completed my sl falco turbo project.
    I just need a little info on stock settings before I get it mapped. When I bought the bike it had a forza chip and the blue wire snip. and trim pots are at 12 o'clock
    Does anyone know where the trim pots should be from the factory and where the air bypass screws were in their original state . I am re fitting the stock eprom to give a Base line to tune it from..also does anyone know if these aftermarket eproms change ignition timing or do they only control fuel.

    12 o'clock on the trim pots. I THINK most chips just play with fuel mapping. A few do ignition too (Gabro's) -- not sure on the Forza, but I've been wanting to try one of those... wink, wink, nudge, nudge ;-)

    More details and pics Ned, a turbo falco sounds awesome
    Correlation is not always causation.

    01 red Spanish Falco, 42k miles.
    Carbon mud guard, braided hoses, pazzo style leavers, 6k hid dipped, front & rear engine crash bungs, mpl slave, rsv swinger, ohlins rear shock, custom tail tidy, custom rear leds with indi's & clear lens.

    03 orange (of course) KTM 450exc, 4k miles.
    Like making a sieve hold water.

    06 lexus GS450h, 135k miles
    Goes like stink and fairly eco, result

    05 bmw X5, 135k miles
    Big and still shifts, it it weren't for knackard turbo... tut tut

    You will want to run a de restricted EPROM like the stocker from an RSV, the 11010ME Arrow, RSV Ti, or possibly your stock Falcons chip with wire cut. Gabro and FP1413 will have too much ignition advance for any decent amount of boost. At 13 psi the single spark heads are safe to 35 degrees advance with 100mm dished lower comp CP Pistons as used in The Punisher land speed bike. As a huge fan of boost, I'm eager to see the pics too.

    Let's hope not...badger on here in the uk has a mille turbo drag bike...want,to see a street bike.

    Just scored a falco frame for the equivalent of $6 ... Will have a spare engine soon ... And have a few other bits for a build... So I need to pick this guys brains

    I think I have put pics up but it says they can't be viewed until a moderator has approved them.
    The falco is stock everything apart from fuel pump and regulator. It's got a T04E garrett copy and external wastegate set to 6 psi. The turbo lives where the oil bag used to be and the oil cooler is now a mocal unit on the side to free up space at the front. I have fabricated everything myself and the oil feed comes straight off the oil cooler line with a restrict or. The oil returns to the tank via a pump . It has all thelse usual bits like dump valve boost gauge and afr meter. It's a simple setup but it's a tried and tested one. I am expecting 180-190 at the wheel with at least 115 lbs of torque at 6 psi
