Very cool Chris. How do you get the lap data on the video?

See post #22 in this thread...

I used a piece of software called RaceRender, version for Mac and Windows are available. Brings the GoPro video and the GPS data file, for the overlay information, together. Very easy to use.

Well? Was it awesome? Made you drop 5 seconds a lap? Do you now have your PR people writing reviews while you review WSBK contract offers?

It didn't make me faster, but the 1-2-1 coaching with Simon Crafar did and the Latimer let me see the huge improvement live each session.
I haven't really reviewed the data via the laptop yet, but as a plug & play it worked really well. Very accurate lap times against Transponder times

Here's a review of some of the Gmos data, as this was not at a home circuit I won't get chance to go back out and try fixing comments at that particular circuit, but there's plenty of issues here that will be common to my riding anywhere, so need to get rid of some bad habits

    Laptimers gps

It's very easy to use in terms of live data, it kicks in when bike hits 60mph, it uses GPS to determine your location and therefore the circuit with preset splits, shows lap times obviously live, only 1 button click when stopped to see summary of all laps.
The data above you download to laptop, very quick, only takes seconds. What I need to do is study their training material to be able to quickly make the understanding of the data above. (The manufacturer did that overview for me, I sent them a log by email and they sent back an assessment for me)
Have to say, UK supplier has been spot on with communications, postage and post sale support.
Once season starts I'll test it properly and see if it can actually improve times based on data.
But I think even the part where it's saying I roll off throttle and onto brakes quick enough, I just don't brake hard enough which means I'm braking to early, now that I know I'm actually nowhere near full braking force I will have a bit more confidence to pull lever harder, and in turn move my braking point further.

Do you use the external GPS antenna or with the built-in is more than enough? I guess built-in GPS update rate is not 10Hz. If it is, they wouldn't supply the external but I can be wrong.

    Laptimers gps

Didn't use the external GPS, they advised against using it actually. So just the lean sensor needed hooked up. External GPS still in the box.
Lap times were near identical to the times from the AMB transponder.
