You really need more than 1 hrtz updates. 5 is decent and usable. You can buy a external receiver for around $50 that will do that. 10 hrtz is really what you want. I think you can get a Garmin 10hrtz for around $100 or so. My dual xgps 160 was $150 and it works.

I should say that if all you are interested in is lap times then a lower speed gps sensor is acceptable as those are suprisingly accurate on lap times. Maybe split times as well, idk? Not so much for lines.

I would like accurate lap times and would like to see lines and trajectory as well as split times. But I'm no top level racer by any means but plan to continue with track days this year and hopefully race locally next season.

I run the Starlane Stealth GPS x3, it's been great.
You push a button once for start finish line and then it's saved from then on, just turn on next time you're there and it's all stored good to go.
used to have the x2 version, was a bit of a pain.
You had to input start finish line and all splits.
    prefer the x3.

lots of guys are now just buying cheap used smart phones and downloading the app.
Heaps cheaper, would go that way if I was buying again.

I've seen this at the local track. Definitely looks like its worth checking out.

I use the Moto-D Next unit and have been very happy with it.

No setting the start/finish line or jacking with it on track.

You just turn it on when you leave the paddock and GPS does the rest.

It can break the track down in sectors so you can see what your times are, telemetry, ect ect right out of the box and it is a stand alone unit.

I'll hopefully be testing my Starlane Divinci dash this weekend and see how it works. I'll report back once I get some time with it.

I am using Chrome Plus on my 2014 RSV4 Factory APRC. It's super nice. Still looking for solution on the TPS via can bus.

On the other hand, have been very unhappy with mine. Doesn't load the correct track reliably if you are at a location with more that one track. Also very difficult to see when riding the bike. The display is very low contrast and fuzzy.

The software is very clumbsy as well.

    I would not buy again.

Looks promising. Anyone know if it has a 'street' mode or is it a track only device?
