    Laptimers gps

I have a q-starz. It's fairly inexpensive and I feel it gives me more information than I can digest. (Even though I try). Took a little bit to get used to the software, but now I don't really have any problems. I think part of your decision should be based on if you have other plans for it, like if you're trying to overlay telemetry data on go pro video. In which case there may be better units that do that easier. But I'm not even close to an expert in that territory.

    Laptimers gps

The other thing I like is mine is like a little pager sized unit. And it doesn't have live display. So maybe it's a little more durable(?) and if I crash I'm not going to freak out if it gets crushed or lost. Not that it's chump change. But there is a big difference between a 2-3 hundred dollar piece that does everything I need. Versus, the equivalent of strapping something like an iPhone on the handlebar of a race bike...

Starlane- they do a lite version which gives laptimes or a more expensive one that you can down load stuff from (top speed, braking points etc)

Arguably the AIM solo and DL are better.

I got rid of the Starlane in favor of the XT Racing GPXPro and am not disappointed at all. Too many issues with the Starlane and have had zero with the GPX.

I had bad luck with the Qstarz. It worked properly 1 day out of 12. It was not very user friendly.

Anyone try this with their RSV4? Starlane APRILIA GPS-RECEIVER (Cod. GPSOCRSV4)? I hooks a GPS receiver right to the bikes Chronometer. Maybe it doesn't add a bunch of features but it should serve the lap timer purpose. I am tossed between that and the Aim Solo.

    Thoughts?

    Hi guys!
Stumbled across this toy on one of the forums. Has anyone tried it on their RSV4?

I used my iPhone 4S for the first time today. I picked up Dual XGPS150A and blue toothed it to my iPhone.

On the iPhone I purchased Harry's Laptimer Grand Prix app for the iPhone $28. The app has a database of over 460 tracks world wide.

Once you select the track, the lap timer turns on and records each lap as you cross the start finish line. It'll also overlay the track, time and speed onto GoPro video.

I didn't think you could use an external GPS with an iPhone?

I've ben using a Qstarz 818XT (10hz) with various Android phones for a few years with good results... but it just feeds the app your GPS data.. No display, nothing fancy.
