Inside KTM ... Warning: Adult material :-)

Part of my summer Austrian trip was visit to KTM factory in Mattighofen. This day EXC Six Days (2 stroke and 4 stroke) were on assembly lines.
    No robots ... hand made.

My gracious host allowed me to do some photos ...

Nice. Thanks for the "tour". I wonder how the employees like working there. I'd like to try a 690.

What kind of camera did you use? Very impressed with both photo quality and the quality of Austrian work!

I took a tour of the Harley factory in York, PA a few years ago. I was most impressed by the woman who could spoke a wheel in two minutes flat.

    That is seriously impressive.

So, did they let you take home a little sumpin? You have rekindled my desire for a 690 Duke.
    Bikes:
    2007.5 Tuono-Black, with 1102cc's of micah's badness!
2012 Griso-Silver and black, Agostini pipe, some carbon bits.
2006 Vespa GT200-bitubo suspension all around, Malossi big-bore, head and cam, Akrapovic pipe, all put together by Micah.

gone 2002 Caponord-Oyster gray (as faithful as a hound dog)
gone Futura-Red (on the AF1 showroom floor. Get some.)

The more I learn about people, the more I appreciate rocks.

I really wish KTM USA would make us a dealer for their "road" stuff at least. The quality of late model KTM bikes is flat amazing, I mean there is a torque value inscribed by CNC in almost EVERY external fastener location, that sort of attention to serviceability details is wonderfully refreshing to me. We have spoken with them a few times in the past, all agree it could work without stepping on toes while dramatically improving the lack of southern Texas dealers...time will tell.
