Damn, that is some mileage. I had a hard time doing that on my K1200LT.

I had a little added motivation. The military's moving me to Nebraska this weekend so I really, really wanted to ride the canyons for potentially the last time. Honestly though, I don't have any complaints about being on the bike for that long. I would just take longer breaks for gas and food which probably helped a lot.

Got a new Oberon slave cylinder back from Oberon under warranty. Turns out there was a casting issue with the one I had. installing tonight and looking forward to softer clutch feel.
Props to Oberon for providing a great warranty service.

Took it five laps around Central Park, very slow (leading Women's Cat 4 bike race).
Also collected a surprising compliment: "Awesome bike! Is it new?" Guess it isn't as beat up and dirty as I thought.

Yesterday I got the oil changed, rear tire changed, installed ecu that was sent to af1 for map2, put on slipons, and drained the fuel for new. Was suppose to change left controls and air filter but ended up cutting wood for my grandparents instead.

Today I learned how to replace a chain on my bike. I found a chain tool off amazon for $20 I also went with some better sprockets from AF1. I tried those eBay sprockets before but those are the reason my chain went bad, well that and 17k miles.

Went to Washington Cycles and set up my suspension. Good thing is that they were able to get it spot on without having to change the springs. It was all screwed up the way it was. Feels like the bike lost 50 pounds. I highly recommend them if you're in the North East region.

Where is this Washington Cycles? Your locations shows NYC. Is it closer than European Cycle Services (near Middletown)?

Washington Cycle Works in Washington, NJ. It was about an hour and a half from me. Not a very fun ride either. lol. I've heard of European Cycles too. Never been.

Exhaust Hangers by Cyberia here on the AF1 forum. RSV4 rear brake as per Micah's suggestion.

RSV4 rear brake pump looks great on the bike, and really makes it so tidy.

Thanks. I like the look too plus the position suits my old knees better than the rear sets that came on the bike.

I scrubbed the chicken strips off my new tires on a local twisty road.
