The topbox is a medium Givi box branded as Honda, I took it off my Transalp to test, 4 new SS cap head bolts from the local Iron Monger about 15-20mm longer than the originals which are 2 short and 2 longer, and away you go for a couple of quid.

Chalk and Cheese they are 10 years apart WRT technology.
The brakes are better, the engine has 25% more power, suspension is better, but saying that the 03 is great to drive and will tramp on if required its a bit like a classic car as long as you remember that and treat it right, its ok
The 03 has more luggage space softer suspension and the seat is better, better fuel economy and a larger tank so better for the longer runs as it still keeps a good pace.

My intention is to keep the 03, it is in bits in the garage at the moment at 50k it requires a bit of maintenance and a spruce up, then it will be good for another 50k.

Is that with the Givi rack as well or another generic one?

Its the Give Base that sits on the Transalp rack. the base just bolts onto the Capo grab rails. You could put a plate under the base if you wanted.

When I get sorted today I will post some pics
