Mine didnt make the cut, although i suspect the previous owner experienced some coolant issues given by the amount of debris on the water hoses.

Had mine done at my dealer's on Monday this week-They had to order the part from Italy ( the part took about 5 working days to arrive ). The service manager said that Aprilia gave them 2 hours labour to fit the part-which was stingy! Just a "heads up" for everyone who has to have one fitted, It took about 3 and a half hours....

I'll have my beautiful aluminium one fitted when my waranty expires!

the recall to replace the defective coolant manifolds on select 2012 RSV4 and 2012-2013 Tuono V4 has gone active in the USA

no VIN range specified, other than to run the VIN through their warranty system, and we have to run all the new VINs still on the floor.

Your dealer can run yours, or email me at ed@af1racing.com (please no calls) and I can run it for you

update---I'm starting to think their database has not been updated yet....email me your VINs later this week and I'll recheck them.

I've ran 6 of them so far from you guys, plus just about every Tuono/RSV4 we've sold, and have not found one needing the recall.

update 4PM---I'm correct, all the VINs have not been loaded yet, give it another 48-72 hours
Also this is not a recall, but a product update. Owners WILL NOT receive recall letters. It will be your and your dealer's repsonsibilty to get checked.

Are they just replacing a plastic one for another plastic one, or have they upgraded the part?

there was a bad batch of them made.....their supplier used inferior materials.....they are replacing it with known good ones with the same part # identified with a small yellow dot. This part never broke on the 2009-2010 RSV4, so its fine as a plastic piece.

Interesting. Since it's not technically a recall but instead a product update, will the end users be responsible for the cost of the update (as is the case with updated ECU mapping)?
