What did you do to your Caponord today..!!!!

After spending most of this afternoon sitting on my Arse in my cold garage cleaning my chain & sprockets with an old toothbrush & a poy of Diesel............I thought wouldn't it be a good idea for us to have a sort of daily blog type thread...

So as stated spent 3 hours cleaning my Chain today..

Cleaned the mouse-mess out of the air box. Scoped out the front coil relocation. I have some fabric rienforced rubber that I think will make a good base for the coils.

Contemplated swaping-out the stock exhaust for LEO slip-ons more for the weight reduction than anything else. ($475.00 from revzilla and others)

Thinking about a snorkelectomy and a K&N airfilter but I've read that the ECU will need to be re-mapped?

And yes, the chain and rear wheel are still a mess.

I wired up my newly rewound stator from Rick's electrics. Found a nice weatherproof connector at the local autoparts store. Rode her for the first time in months today. I plan to put some miles on tomorrow!

I made and fitted some "Crap Flaps" to my Capo today. While I had the bike in bits to do the fuel pump wiring and a few other things, I noticed how dirty the under seat areas had got. As I don't have or want a hugger, I got thinking of other ideas.
I made a couple of cereal box card templates of the subframe I wanted to protect.

I then transfered these to some cheap rally style mudflap material, and cut them out. A few cable ties later and bingo. Weather resistant Crap Flaps

I also made a rear fender mudflap( mine has been cut off) to stop the rear of the bike getting so dirty

Checked tyre pressures then rode mine to work today...and I'll be taking the (very) long way home.
Bike is filthy, but I've spent enough time fannying around with her this winter...sun's out and it's time for fun. Yeehaaaaaaaar!
