I was kind of surprised since I figured if anyone could get one, Moto International could. Has anyone in the states got a resource for me to order one? I just did a self supported 1500 mile, 5 day dual sport ride, and without a doubt, that blasted short kickstand was the worst aspect of the whole trip..

    thanks for the help

I'm assuming the RR stand uses the Euro bolt?

And, here's the US side stand version with the crazy bend in it.

You guys are missing a trick. The US side stand looks to be the ideal height and angle to be used as a bead breaker on your tyre rim. My mates old GS had and extra arm on the side stand for this reason. Basically you use the weight of the bike to dislodge the tyre.......you will need a centre stand to support the bike though.

I've used the centre stand to break a tyre bead a few weeks back. It's a bit of a trick doing it, but not hard once you get the hang of it.
    Ride it like its stolen

Soo that's why my stands ran in to each other! My bike came with a straight, long side-stand which foot would hit the center-stand. I always had to put the side stand down to get the center stand up or down, then put the side-stand up again. I always thought the PO just replaced the bent part of the stock stand with a longer straight pipe, but it must have been a rally stand. It would also hit the ground if it inclined to the left at all, and stood so upright that I was afraid it'd fall to the right sometimes. It did not bother me too much, but enough that when I saw what I figured out was a euro stand on e-bay I jumped on it, now my bike leans a little more, but not too much, and my stands don't interfere .

aanyway, anyone in the market for a rally stand?

I wish I lived closer so I could see how the application fit with my bike. I know the RR stand will be a bit too long based on posts here and ADV. But I can't justify the Euro stand yet, as everyone still complains it needs to be taller... If you want to "pay it forward" I'd gladly pay ya for shipping to Idaho, or better yet, just make a road trip and test out that side stand sometime! I've been meaning to make a trip up to WA. I just want to see where the interference is, then maybe I can modify the RR stand to work and post my results here.

Sounds good. It's in good condition I'm assuming? Let me know when you get your RR stand. I may be in the market!

That's a darn good price Parx! I could do with a replacement for the stand on Liz's bike that PO Buncha shortened - a bit too much, as it turns out. What would you want to post it Down Under?
