Yes plenty of people have. You'll need a 56mm lower triple clamp from a Gen II RSVR or Tuono Factory too. Did you do a search?
2000 Tricolor, KTM Sprag, 16/43 sprockets, D.I.D. 525 Gold Chain, Rick's Stator version 2, RP collector modified with dual link pipes, Gabro F255 EPROM, Akrapovic slip on, Ohlins radial front forks, Falco clip-ons, 16mm Brembo radial brake master cylinder, Brembo four pad radial brake calipers, BrakeTech Axis ductile iron brake rotors, Integrated LED brake lights & blinkers, Ohlins rear shock with remote preload adjuster, Longer RS125 mirrors so I can see more than my shoulders and elbows.

im curious what the value to this is other then bling. Why not upgrade to olhins internals for what I perceive to be cheaper and just as effective.

I bought my Ohlins forks off eBay for less than the price of a new cartridge kit.

Big reason for going for the forks is I can make almost all the money back if I ever need to sell the bike, by selling the forks separately. If I upgraded the existing forks I'd never get that money back selling them with the bike.

Oh, and the gold Ohlins look great of course!
08 Black Tuono R, full Akrapovic exhaust system & carbon cans, 15/43, Evo Air-box kit, PCiii, Ohlins forks, shock & damper, OZ wheels, Brembo RCS m/c & monobloc's, PP Tuning rear sets, Rizoma bars...I think I’ve got a problem!

    who can argue with this.

Thanks. thats deff a different way of looking at it. Maybe I will further consider converting. How did you trust the forks you bought were not bent?

I'd say the "true" Öhlins cartridge is superior to the OEM Öhlins RSV/T forks.
When exiting the corner I suddenly ran out of talent and fell off the bike.

Most likely yes. Another cheaper alternative is Öhlins valves only. I went that route and very happy with the result but it lack the bling factor of course.

I have Traxxion Dynamics valve stacks in my Factory Ohlins forks and they are so much better than the Ohlins valving that was in there. Ofcourse I had the proper spring rate for my weight done as well.

Whatever fits your budget. You can improve a little at a time but give it good thought and make a few phone calls to some suspension places. If you do call Traxxion just ask for Lee and he will explain your options and talk suspension till your ear falls off.

Thanks for all the input. My main reason besides better ride is I think on the tuono R version aprilia dropped the ball on the forks. Everything on the bike looks high quality (fit and finish) until you get to the skinny black forks. The gold would look great on my bike (blue) so I wanted to know if it was an eay swap or if I had to change the triple clamps?

Of course then the next thing to change would be my fluids starring at me in little plastic containers.......

You can keep doing that 'til you are six feet below.. The little left one will keep going black
