After shutting the bike off and while spending 45min trying to remove the stickers (finally broke out my heat gun and brake cleaner), I kept hearing what, at first, sounded like a small electric whine like a motor running for 2-3sec. This happened every 5-10 seconds, slowing as it got cooler. Curiosity got to me and I opened the gas cap, releasing pressure that was built up. It was 90-95 here today, bike running 193F when I shut it off. This normal? I'll be performing the canister-echtomy soon

AHA! I have had the same thing occur to me last Sunday. It was incredibly hot and while I was in the garage I could hear the same noise coming from the bike. My wife heard it as well. I had just ridden 120mi a few hours prior and I believe it is the gas vapors venting. I did the same thing opening the gas cap and could hear air escape and after doing so the noise ceased. Do you still have the EVAP can? Mine is gone and I had the dealer do it so I can't say with certainty but I think there is a one way valve in there and as the pressure builds it is released through it causing the noise.
Yep, still have the can. It has been hot here as well, but I don't know I'd it is doing it all the time? Then again, I haven't spent much time near the bike once I park it
