Hey man - question regarding your neutral problem, so you replaced your aftermarket rear sets with the stock and your neutral started working? just want to clarify because i have the same neutral issue; want to see what i can do to get it fixed!

    Ecu

Did you change/update the ECU when you installed the AR pipe?

    Austin Racing exhaust

I had Lightec rearsets, and for the life of me could only get neutral by a fluke.
I changed back to the oem's and problem solved.
The lightec uses a linkage rod which comes off the gearbox and then connects to the rearset. I think their is too much play in the linkage rod, which did not give me that direct feel like the oem shifter which comes straight off the gearbox.
I actually changed back to the Oem's because they are about an inch lower and more forward than the lightecs, as well as the footrest is a bit wider. I dont do any track work so i figured and long trips i might as well be a bit more comfortable, when you are a tall bastard anyway.
RFE i had the latest race map installed when i bought it with the akra already on.
From what I have read in the past on this forum the race map is recommended for all aftermarket pipes?
Chime in somebody if I am incorrect.

^^ Yes, race ECU is recommended for all aftermarket pipes and you can put in maps that suit your liking.
I think the stock rearsets on the Ape are fine and I have tracked my bike and had no problems.
