I've had mine up to about ~80mph..... 13/43 gearing and 75cc kit that was barely working it seems. Had a decent tail wind and was coming off a bridge when I hit that speed.

    i have an all
    polini evolution set up

    polini evolution 50cc cylinderkit
    polini 19.5mm carb
    polini evolution exhaust
    performance clutch
    14/47 gearing
and got off the clock at 75mph, if i worked it out i probably got 77/78 mph

my mate got a new rs4 50 derestricted (_he the first owner and garage derestricted it) and hes lucky to see 50mph on a flat and down hill he barely gets 55mph and the accceleration is crap!! overall i just dont like the bike :L looks cheap too!
what do you think off mine? comments please!!

Stock Derestricted 50mph/80kmh reall speed, if you fit a fast pipe and stiffer reeds 60mph/100kmh.

With performance parts it depents on what you got under there but 80mph/130kmh or more is posible.

RS4-50 is overpriced junk, did you ever see one up close and had a close look at how its build? really sad what they done to the RS50.

Get an 1999 to 2005 RS50, or a new Derbi GPR50 instead of the Aprilia RS4-50

i have my mate has one! i think it is really crap!! over priced! and very cheaply built!
struggles to hit 55 down a BIG hill :L when im still in 4th then fly past him right upto 75 mph i miss my bike already!!

but glen on a serious note, dont buy a rs4 50, my mate has and ever since he just moans and it isnt very reliable (wont start sometime, cuts out and a few other problems :P)
he said he regrets it and wishes he got the same model as me and he hasnt even rode mine, he just wants it so bad for speed and handling as his is really heavy and dont handle well :/
what do you think off mine? comments please!!

Dude, its so bad that some parts that it shares with the Derbi look identical but there not, like the brake calipers on the derbi are higher quality aloy thats much more corrosion resistand, while the ones on the Aprilia are just Aluminium wich corrodes really easly so the pistons jam in the calipers all the time on the new RS.

AGREED! the fairings are really thin and flimsy! my mate dropped his rs4 50 and smashed a side panel, he wasnt even moving :L i crashed my bike at about 20mph and the side fairings only have scratches haha, what does that say about the build quality?! :L

and what you said about the brakes, that will be why his front brake always!! sticks :L bless his parents wallet, what a waste

its just a shame that these days things are built PURELY for profit and sales figures, yrs ago (older bikes) things were built to LAST and to be functional not like for example the new electric handbrakes on cars! i mean wtf were they thinking? "its sooooo hard to pull this little lever, what shal we doooooo" ggrrr hate em, hill starts are at best extremely hard if not impossible - its JUST to say "oh it has a electric hand brake that is why the price is 2000 more expensive over the older model"

look at old bikes, if maintained they always start up, they dont need all this computer hooking up and rubbish it was quality - think its josh rs who always says is dads old sportsbikes start up first or second kick?

Chris, I can agree on that one!

My dads old BMW veteran motorcycle wasn't touched for a year and it was standing in our dry but not heated garage during the winter.
    Started on the first kick!
