Race Fairings without lights in the UK

    Hi Folks,

I'm planning to buy race fairings from AustingRacing.info, and am trying to decide whether to get the ones with light cutouts or not. Obviously the look of the ones without light cutouts is going to be better, but I'm also hoping to be able to ride my bike on the road (to the track in the UK, etc.) without having to switch back to the OEM fairings if possible. If I get fairings with no lights, can I ride it legally in the UK in daylight hours (as long as there's a license plate and rear brake light visible)?

    Cheers, Tom

How about the Flamingo Endurance version - good price for the kit, IMO.
    R7 + RSV4F aPRC on track, MT-03 on road.

I do not live in the UK but I think you can opt to have what is called a daylight MOT, which will enable you to ride between the hours of sunrise and suset without lights.

Suggest you google "daylight MOT" for more info.

Carries obvious risks namely riding without brake lights, visibility etc.

Daylight MOT still recquires rear brake lights (and maybe indicators)

Still read up on it. That flamingo looks wicked.

Has anyone gat a few pictures or the rear of the fairing that the ride sees???

Daylight mot does not require brake light, 100% sure as my bike has one

Cheers for confirming, thought it was the case. It is either all or nothing lights wise with the daylight MOT.
