Not sure of fitment, maybe someone here can help.
It came with the bike when I bought it 4 years ago.
It's set up for 150-165 pound range.
Taking it off the bike right now.

01+ Gen 1 RSVs as well. Also it will fit in a Falco with the appropriate linkages.

Hoh, Hum, another shitty day in paradise!

I have this shock on my Falco and is a very good piece of kit. You don't have to change the linkages, it will bolt straight in with no issues. Fits both standard swingarm and mille swingers on Falco's, bonus is the ride height adjuster which can lift the Falco up over 45mm at the back. Hope this helps someone get a good shock.

Brinks you are totally wrong on this particular shock. If the shock is designed for the 02-05 Tuono then it WILL NOT work properly with the stock linkage on a Falco as Brinks_2 stated. The shock can be revalved and resprung to work with the stock Falco linkage, or ordered new from Penske to work with the Falco linkage which is the same as the 98-00.5 Mille linkage, but this shock as it is is NOT set up for use with Falco linkage. You can use this shock on a Falco or 98-00.5 Mille if you also get the 01-03 Mille or 02-05 Tuono linkage.

Dan is right here.. It would be completely wrong for a Falco without the updated linkage stuff, and would be kinda dangerous in fact.

Good deal on a great shock though!

The shock is good after 3 years running on my bike, tell me I'm wrong. I had both sets of linkages (from a tuono and off my bike) I have no handling issues and have removed, inspected and re- greased every 12 months. This with the stock Falco linkages. The shock still feels great. Change the linkage if you think so, but my experience is it's not necessary.

If your shock was originally built by Penske for the Falco linkage (or 98-00.5 Mille) and it is sprung for the Falco linkage then it is of course fine with the Falco linkage and the Tuono linkage would be wrong.

There is no way that you can properly set up the right sag with Falco linkages and a shock that is sprung for a Tuono. The Tuono spring is too light and if you put enough preload into the Tuono spring with Falco linkage to get the sag correct you are going to run into spring binding issues. If the shock was originally built for a Tuono and you just respring it for the Falco linkage the dampening rates are still going to be off.

Dan, I won't argue with you and this will be the end of it for me. I put an extra 2.5mm of pre-load on the spring and that is all, the spring has not bound, if anyone wishes to buy this shock for a Falco go to the "what shock fit's " thread in the Falco forum because it really is a good bit of gear. As Dan said they are re- buildable to suit your needs and fit a lot of earlier Aprilias. The price is also really good considering the quality. Good luck with the sale Sokali and apologies.
