Sorry to put on here another Windshield thread, for the Scarabeo.

But I have searched back and read them all and even contacted a few members re: their windscreens. I am trying to decide which one to buy.

Basically I think this below is the full list of contenders / aftermarket options for the Scarabeo 200:

  • Aprilia Comfort Windshield (Official Aprilia part#853491)
  • Givi 149A & A149a mount
  • Givi Airstar 154A & A154a mount - this is the one AF1 Racing sells
  • Fabbri 2690/A

I have read reports from others in the Beo 500 section that the givi ones can crack?

I can't find the dimensions of the Aprilia windshield anywhere.

The Givi 149 seems to be discontinued, now replaced by the 154. Is the 154 better or pretty much the same? Or should one be seeking the 149?

Fabbri - looks alright, weird thing is it says dimensions are 75cm wide by 45cm height, not sure why the width is greater than the height or if this is a typo, seems it's got a slight tint to it in the photos.

If anyone could post any up close photos and give any comments on what windscreen you put on and so forth it would be fantastic

From my searching it will probably cost me $250-300 by the time I pay for the windshield itself plus shipping to Australia so want to make sure I get it right. I'm 6'1" and ride mainly at highway speeds 110km/hr so desperately need something to block a bit of the wind from thumping me in the head all the time
