    Finding Neutral made easier

Just changed the clutch jet from a .60 to a .40 on both of my Tuonos. What a difference for such a simple 5 minute job. I highly recommend this mod. No more dancing on the shift lever trying to find neutral five times while I sit at a traffic light. Also made the clutch lever pull a bit lighter. There is a nice DIY write up in this forum.

Strange you say clutch pull is now lighter. Changing the oil jet should not noticeably change this force required to operate the clutch.

While we are on that subject, surely the clutch pull can only be easier if the springs, slave bore or master cylinder bore is changed?

Or there is more vacuum pulling on the slipper diaphragm.
Or less friction in a pivot point.

You guys are too much. I may have gotten carried away on the clutch pull feeling....I had just spent the afternoon riding my '76 RD400 with a cable clutch! However, the mod has definitely made neutral easier to find.

I changed engines to an 07 RSVR and immediately noticed how much easier it was to get neutral. Ok, so it was a different gearbox to the previous engine, but I assumed aprilia/Rotax used the better oil jet on the later stuff.

More info please. Just what is a clutch jet and where exactly is it located? Inside the slave cyclinder?

It is a small brass part that has an external thread and an internal hole. The top is slotted so you can use a flat bladed screw driver to install it. It resides just behind a recessed cap head bolt just above the clutch slave on the engine casing.

Finding neutral on these bikes is easy. Just go out for a really hard ride and change from 4th to 5th. You'll be straight into neutral!

I bought mine from AF1.... Of course! Best $12 I've spent in a long time.
