How far on a DD in one day?

What is the furthest you have managed in one day? Is 250 practical or is it a killer?

Did that about a week ago. If you take your time with the obvious stops for fuel and to stretch you'll be fine. I will say that my ass was sore by the end of it though.

Did 950 km day on the shiver and it was a killer for my neck, arms, shoulders as well as my backside. However, 750 kms is nice and easy if you are reasonably fit. IMO, wouldn't even bother touring on a Dorso.

Anything is possible if you're hard enough and on the right roads. I once rode a Ducati 450 (tiny, uncomfortable, brutal vibration) from Perth to Port Hedland, 950 km one day followed by 900 km the next day. I was only 20 years old however. I also rode 1800km (1120 miles) in about 17 hours from Boulder CO to Jackson CA on my Yamaha GTS.

This was 907km on the DD. as long as you keep moving around on the seat then it is really easy! But any long straights and sitting still on the seat, then Forget it.
Check out my Duffy lake video. better near the middle of video.

I did 400miles on my DD a couple of months ago and as 6M$MAN says as long as move around on the bike then no probs, and on the plus side you get to stop every 100ish miles lol

The roads and speeds you travel make a big difference. Could be easily doable, could be brutal.

I've done 200-400 miles or more in one day on multiple occasions on my DD. From vegas->parker Az and bellingham Ma --> kancamagus hwy and back ..solid 10 hrs on the bike hah. It became pretty uncomfortable towards the end.

You can do seat mods to make it more comfy. I had one done by a local seat guy in Connecticut.

I've done 180 in a morning with this.

280km on b-roads few days ago no problem and 300km back tomorrow on even worst b-roads. No problem with comfort only problem with heat of 35 deg. Celsius.

Done 4300 km in 10 days on a modified seat. The right underwear is a big part of it.

180 miles on the Shiver, not quite the same I know, but it was no problem with a couple of stops

I recently bought an '02 Mille R in Essex and rode it just over 300 miles back home to the Lake District in the pissing rain. I'm 6'4 and it was uncomfortable as hell on my wrists, but it's totally doable. On a DD, with regular stops to stretch, you should be fine!
