Bike just made it home, now won't start ?

Lil history... 07 T 31kmiles map 2 , pipes. Bike ran perfect till 2 weeks ago. I started to get popping on deceleration, then I got the lil wrench, 80 miles later I got the Service warning with the triangle. I got home shut the bike then restart no sevice just the wrench . I cleared everything thru the computor , bike ran good still popping. I'm thinking I have to get this bike checked out.. I didn't get a chance. I went for a ride this sat I'm 80 miles away meet my buddy and then bike won't start. I need one more gas up to get home so I have to start it twice . I pushed down a hill and she fires right up , still popping but running ok I make it to a gas station. Thiis time I need a jump and when I pulling out the bike spudders but I'm able to maintain highway speeds but I can feel it's not right... losing power. The service warning came on again at this point. The bike was able to run between 4-5 grand... On the Throggs Neck bridge(20 miles from home ) the bike spudders for a solid min, I up shifted fast from 1st to 3th and then I was able to maintain highway speed .... I make it to my corner and she just died . Any ideas , did this ever happen to anyone? Would a bad Regulator- Rectifier cause this ? I know I need a new battery, I have been charging this one for a full day and not getting any thing of crank.

All I know is the wrench indicates you've reached a scheduled maintenance interval... Otherwise sounds like a fueling problem, fuel delivery/FI, or O2 sensor problem. Just my 2 cents.

check your stator output mine started popping on deceleration when not enough electrical power. the fuel injection starts acting up runs lean causes popping

These bikes do pop, on decelleration. Excessive popping could indicate firing/electrical probs.

The 'wrench' indicator is merely for regular maintenance. You can re-set the indicator from the computer. It should not be going on and off. If it comes on, it should stay on, until re-set. The Service Warning indicator could go on and off, possibly indicating some inttermitent problem.

The first thing I'd try, is changing your battery. If that doesn't fix everything, then get to looking into the brown connector issue or your charging system.

That is because it is beyond regular service that can be performed by an owner. Unfortunately for many RSV owners it had become regular service...

I got the bike running after I charged my battery . I did the stator test on the brown connector .... I didn't get a 60v reading. Looks like the stator is toast ... I sure got a education from this board this week ... now all I need is the parts

What voltage did you get from the three yellow wires? You should have three different readings as you have three possible yellow wire combinations.
Did you remember to measure AC volts on the yellow wires and DC volts after the R/R (so at the battery).

What year is your bike? Can you post your engine no, this is an easy check if you have the old or the updated generator. Probably you have an old generator since your
    stator seems to be toast.

If you dont fit an updated generator (rotor/flywheel) your stator is VERY likely to fail again.

I did check the DC volts on the battery, but I was told by Steve at AF1 that I won't get a correct reading till the stator is changed. I was going to get a new R/R but he seem to think (99%) that I only need a stator. I looked for the engine # on the left side of the bike I couldn't find them ?
