G'day all,
Just wondering how many of you tuono pilots out there have fitted the mosfet or series type r/r? How are they going so far? Are your stators lasting longer? Are they worth it?
I only ask these questions because my 2006 tuono has over 33.5k km's on the clock and it still has the original scr type r/r and stator. My single brown connector has not melted etc... and I am curious as to why mine has been okay so far, while others have not been so lucky. I don't really wanna touch it as it 'ain't broke', but I realise that quite a few of you have done away with the 'brown connector' and changed your r/r's as preventative breakdown measures .
My headlights are constantly 'on' as it is a requirement here in Oz. Maybe that has something to do with the longevity of my charging system but it's just a 'theory'.
So, to all you 'cluey' minds out there, are there any other possible 'theories' (other than 'luck)' as to why my charging system has been okay yet others have failed?
Cheers.![]()
