Yes you can. Oem Mille bars work best, I did it as I found it nicer to ride than tuono format. Gets a bit sore on the back and shoulders after a few hours unless you are pushing it on a bit. Gilles vario bar work too but can foul on things If you don't get the angle right. You'll need the right size for your forks. Brake line will be a bit long too

Nice .. So nothin major then . He can ride his blade for miles but the tuono is to upright for his lower back . I suggested it and could,t see any big issues .. But thought I would check . Thanks .

I have a very bad back (knackered disc's at L 3,4 &5) but find riding the Tuono really comfy and I am 6ft 6inch tall...

Get pains and cramps in my hips after 150miles but I am hoping to get some rearsets to help with this.

No tallness with this guy . Just about can reach the bar for a pint .. Fat too . The narrower profile will.also make it better for hacking through London traffic . Its a bit wide with the standard bars for the filtering speeds expected by other biker commuters . Thats why we all hate BMW Gs riders )))))

We looked at that but its going to foul with the tank . I got away with takin bars off flipping them round and upside down on a kwak ... But tuono top yoke is to low in relation to tank.

well for all intents and purposes the old school tuono / mille are the same under the skin. all it is really is a bikini style fairing and motocross bars and you have a tuono. i also found the stance really wide and flat with the gold bars on, not enough sweep back for your hands to feel natural, unlike my gen 1 bandit 1200 i had before, the standard bars on it were perfect. might be an idea to try a few narrower sets of bars if you can but you'll need to change the risers too, since tuono ones are 25mm / 1 inch instead of 22mm / 7/8 like most normal bars. depends how much he has to spend too. you could get lucky and find used oem clipons or pay £300 for the gilles.

Falco clipons have their bars a little bit more elevated then Mille clipons, somewhere around 30 mm I believe.
