HAHAHA - 1,000 of our little dollars will buy 2,000 cans of beer. Not gonna match that at the carry out in Haymarket.

In drinking American beer? You must be joking - very close to carnal knowledge of a goat, in a canoe.
In an attempt to sell your Caponord? Why? This site is populated mostly by people dedicated to keeping them, and keeping them on the road; with 50-odd posts, you've hardly been a big participant yourself, have you?
I believe CraigsList is a good sales tool in your area.

Rough crowd, eh King... Seriously you could list it for 7 and take offers. I don't think you will get 7 but you will seldom if ever get more than you ask for.

For instance - if I was buying a capo like yours,

    assuming no center stand, -175.00
no updated electric connections, or -100.00
    fuel connections/fuel pipe, -300.00
    no crash guards, -300.00
    new rectifier, -150.00
potentially 8 year old tires(?) -300.00
    shipping to California -600.00

= 1,925.00 at a minimum to take possession of the bike and update/sort it properly (my way).

That for me would put a max value price in at around 5,075.00 USD, if I was looking for one. But I'm not looking for one. Because I'm not looking for one and I also know a little (only a little about Capos) my theoretical offer point would be far south of 5K. If I was looking for one, my price point might be 5K based on assumed condition.

That's not to say it's worth more, or less - it is all relative to the potential buyer. You get a guy who like the bike and thinks he's getting fair value then it's all good at whatever you settle at.

    Good luck.

KV, hope you get a good price mate and before you sell that machine do update us with the biaggi rs250 rep you were planning on.

Yes, that is good beer, good AMERICAN beer brewed in SAN FRANCISCO. Contrary to the perceptions it is not Coors and Budweiser here all of the time...

Now, back to the topic of the price of the 2006 CapoNord...

If it doesn't have a center stand, updated fuel connectors or crash bars $7000 is too steep. But if it is really clean (it obviously has low miles) and the Givi bags are top of the line I think Matt's estimate of 5K is too low. Do some comparisons but my hunch is that you could probably ask $6700 - 6500 and probably have some luck selling it. After all, the Capo is supposedly smart money right? http://www.apriliaforum.com/forums/s...is-Smart-Money

I recently entered the Capo crowd, 2007 Capo 2100miles. no scratches, tho license plate light was broke. I got more documents with the bike in all languages and stuff. No extras. Paid $5500. Spent $300 on new Aprilia side bags. $389 for the crash bars. $150 for the fuel fittings. I would think if you add into your ad willing to help on shipping say 30-40% which could be $400 it would help a potential buyer see through the shipping and not scoff too much at a $6700 price point.

I want to sell the bike and put it towards the new Caponord...can I still stay in the group Precis? I want to sell it when still under 6K miles and before the motorcycle season ends and the prices drop.

I've tested all of the adventure bikes and still think Aprilia will put out a great product for a better price than the BMW and Ducati. Also, I'm partial to Aprilias and have owned them in the USA before they were sold here.

I'm slowly taking the Biaggi apart. It's tough to find parts and I really need the LCD display...if you know of a source. I bought a used one off eBay UK and was stiffed.
