    Bluing the brake rotors..

Now that the Mille is a track-only bike, I'm going to start addressing things I notice at the track. Let's start with the brakes.

I'm currently using EBC HH pads, and after being told I brake too early, was working on braking later on the front straight.. but I notice I'm bluing the brake rotors now.

Do I need a different pad? different rotor?

I will be dropping a bunch of weight off the bike with the race plastics, stripping the harness, new subframe, battery, etc.. so that should help reduce the mass I'm slowing, but I also hope to be carrying more speed, and will be running trackday slicks, so likely braking harder as well... A wash, in my book.

wouldnt worry about it, my brakes blue a little after a long day hard riding on the road. just the steel heating up. not like you're going to need carbon pads and discs yet... maybe get yourself a micrometer and keep an eye on the thickness + if any cracks start appearing. that is all.
