I fully understand Micah. At age 47 I've been through the phase you are in several times. I get bored easily and need to always do new things, hence the pending move to OKC.

Family planning is very important thing, especially as a business owner. In addition to a Will, think about getting Power of Attorney, Medical Power of Attorney, and look into creating a trust for yourself. With all of that paper work in place, in the event something does happen, you know that your family and business are taken care of in the manner that you wish vs. the courts. It's a bit of work, not too expensive really, maybe $3,000 these days, and you will need to make updates from time-to-time, but you'll sleep easier.

You in the shop this on Satuday? I'll zip down and buy you lunch.

Oh, I always use Ancra brand straps never the cheap Home Depot ones. I've seen too many bikes fall off of trailers and out of pickup beds.

Well I got good and proper screwed on eBay it looks like. $812 worth to be precise. Do not know all the details yet other than lens I sold arrived in excellent shape to address I sent it to, not much more I can do from there. I have spent the time required to file 9 documents of evidence now with PayPal as it was a "verified" buyer...nice. Lens shipped to a $1.9 million dollar house in Florida, sscammers are moving on up it seems!

Fly tonight and try to remember as little as possible of today's events.

Damn that sucks^ Scamming is so rampant. My credit is on a permanent freeze because all my info was taken by a fake business I was trying to get a job at last year.

Well, that certainly sucks ass. As for a "good" ebay experience, I bought a Nikon lens from a guy in Japan on a Saturday night and it arrived at midday the next Wednesday. 9 documents of evidence. Good luck with all of that.
    Bikes:
    2007.5 Tuono-Black, with 1102cc's of micah's badness!
2012 Griso-Silver and black, Agostini pipe, some carbon bits.
2006 Vespa GT200-bitubo suspension all around, Malossi big-bore, head and cam, Akrapovic pipe, all put together by Micah.

gone 2002 Caponord-Oyster gray (as faithful as a hound dog)
gone Futura-Red (on the AF1 showroom floor. Get some.)

The more I learn about people, the more I appreciate rocks.

A close up picture of their front door via email tends to do wonders with Ebay deadbeats I've found. You've got enough connections on here to make that a reality I'm sure.

I hate scammers! Some asshats stole my credit card info. Now I can not go anywhere without first calling the credit card company to alert them. If I don't they deny my card as if it were fraud.

I think that a little airplane time was just what I needed last night. Flew till a bit after sunset, got to try out runway lights for the first time which was nice since the landing light burned out pretty much as soon as it was needed. No drama, 4 crosswind landings better and smoother than many of my previous bests. I didn't get home till late and had to head out early this morning but with the approach of 104-107F temps this weekend I may not get to fly for a week, there is only so much heat I can take and the airplane performs for shit in really low density air anyway...the FlexiFreeze vests are working really good for the first hour of flight though. Solo soon so spending a lot of time working on landings. Technically I have plenty of time to go solo but I am just wanting to be really, really comfortable with landings before going it alone.

I seriously doubt this eBay scammer actually lives in the house I shipped to "verified" or not, I have tried to contact via email with no luck so far...yet he was so quick to respond last month...hmmmm. I will post the address if I do not get a resolution of some sort or at least more info soon. It is Hollywood Florida so I know we have some members in the area.

Well, we did at least one in today...

Bastards come here and instead of having a go like normal everyday folks, they start this shit...

This buttmunch has a federal case pending on him after we get done with him, but I have a feeling the state judge is going to light him up come sentancing time.

Word to the wise, when going to big mega stations to fill up, always try to use pumps that are in direct view of the store personnel, do not use the outside/very end pumps becasue these are the ones that these shitbags target because they can gain access to the insides of the pumps to place the skimmers in them and not be noticed. you will not know that one is in place because they make all connections internally with no outside apparatus visable.

Some of these skimmers used in this case were state of the art and have never been seen before.

Damn, why is cash no good anymore, I mean it is back by the full faith and credit of the...oh yeah, never mind. I try to pay 90+% of my monthly expenses in cash just to limit number of swipes but when filling up bike/car/truck/plane that is really not an option. I have sort of an anal reason for this though in all reality, basically of my entire month's card or bank sytstement takes up more than one page I get all sorts of bent out of shape. Not smoking anymore has made cash last SO much longer between bank/ATM visits.

Airplane time/instruction have become very much therapy for me, ironically exactly the same as bikes used to be. I did ride home last night though and will firing the Vespa for the return leg this morning. I need to turbocharge that thing, it needs more steam above 75mph indicated, just a big valve head and 7 psi boost would be an effortless 100mph. Man I feel goofy for doing it but I actually close carried my P9S for the ride home and will be strapping it on for the ride back into town, still thinking about the other possible outcomes from my last street ride/Neo Nazi confrontation. Only appropriate to carry a German piece right?

So go on www.noaa.gov and use zip code 78130 for the localizer. Ugly, ugly week coming up, 105F+ air temps...in the shade! Not cool, not at all. Better get rolling towards work soon because I have a full system to install on a smoking hot TV4 at the shop today...then maybe enough time to try and fix hydraulic system in "The Merlin" as Steve has affectionally named my v12 BMW.

my debit card was compromised twice; the first was a smoke shop chain; several folks with lots of consonants in their names are baking in jail, from CA to WA
    2nd time no clue.
The amazing part is that the software the banks use caught both instances nearly instantly, and the card was locked. Serious national database there, for sure...

I LIKE cash, it gives me a great feeling; cards are just too damn handy; but, I cringe at times using them, as the retailer is taking it in the shorts for every customer's swipe.

Oh- and weather; one opinion is that the PNW's LONG spell of wet, cool spring-summer weather may become the norm. Mixed blessing - plenty of water, and we will still be 'The Evergreen State' but less fun riding, for sure...

Sigh... What's a mother to do???

What's to do, you joking? Back when I had a seven bike stable one was an 1978 SR500 Yamaha with Michelin Rain Intermediates on it..love rain riding, and fast rain riding at that. A "rain bike" was the perfect solution for me. With the weather here you honestly start looking forward to riding into rain and are usually a bit dissapointed as you dry off. Evaporative cooling is way better than no cooling, or at least about 20 degrees cooler.

So excited, just checked NHC models and if Deby holds up or even gains strength the models are currently bullseye on the middle Texas coast! We need more than one tropical system to park over central Texas this year or we are going to be in water trouble sooner than expected. Fingers are crossed. Hopefully get some more airplane time today too, that would feel real good, all depends on heat and schedule though.

Sure, spent time in Hawaii and had access to brother-in-common-law's <g> older Guzzi LeMans.
Nothing like drying off in 80+ sunshine at speed.

We're just mired in the drone of our problem of getting UP to 70 degrees, and seeing the sun.
Sure is green, though, the slugs and snails are loving it - but, the tomato's are wondering WTF... stunted, but well watered.

Think I'll head out today in any case, need to burn off some ethanol additive... and go pick up more Sta-Bil, the blister on the right side of the tank will thank me.
