Nice pic on the Nikon. I went ahead and got a 6D for this storm season, I finally killed the 5dmkII last storm of last year, turns out they are not quite lightning proof, close, it still sort of worked...but not quite. I'm a Canon guy for life unless I fall into a waist deep pile of good Nikon glass like I have collected over the years for the Canon EF mount. I also got an EOS M and find it to be a great walk around camera.

There were a few tube frame Buellers that ditched the fuel infection for a carb.

Most sold their troublesome Buell and moved on to something else.

On the dyno today with a really well done turbo GSXR. Having a few clutch problems but with boosted bikes that is hardly surprising. For a garage built machine this is the best build I've seen to date, runs Holley efi stand alone and that is a brilliant system so far.

Well the turbo GSXR ended up having some sort of issue with either the cam timing or the spark timing, owner is making me a spark timing reading mod to his case, rotor and to a strobe gun so we can be sure. 62 ft/lbs of torque at 5 lbs boost is low, may too low to be right.

I might be doing a project with the Holly EFI. Sounds like a good system. Does it have a battery offset table for the injectors? And if so what do you use for the values on the GSXR?

He needs boost compensated clutch to make it work. It's like the Aprilia vacuum slipper clutch in reverse using boost to increase clutch pressure.

That torque number sounds low, something is amiss.

I would like to see the pictures of that turbo setup...

The bike had a drag lockup clutch, it was simply mis assembled, fixed easily. Not sure about ALL the settings, you can download the software for free and play with it in offline mode. Pics to come, one of the best done garage built drag bikes to date I've seen on the dyno.

So, lets start some recent photos with the Turbocharged GSXR 1000 drag bike. This is seriously the best done home built turbo bike using no kit I have ever seen in person. It is a family project and to say they are doing it right is quite an understatement honestly. The goal is to eventually push through the air near the timing lights at the end of a quarter mile strip at 200mph! The fueling and spark timing is handled by a Holley auto efi system made to work, it has the best on board lambda tuner I have seen to date, seriously this stuff is SMART! While air shifters and swingarm extension may not be my thing the quality of this build blew me away. Once the ignition timing wheel is sorted, and a new one may have to be made, it will be a beast. Baseline tuning went very smoothly even though the ignition lead way WAY retarded by accident, we realized the power wasn't there and stopped running something that wasn't right, it lives to terrorize the dyno another day!

So Im learning my new Canon 6D, these posts tonight are the first public viewing, and off the first 64 GIG memory card, to say im impressed is a massive understatement, especially dince in the photo press it has not been a universally well recieved camera, Im in love however. You had to know some artsy bullshit and airplanes were coming right?

Thanks to Axecent for the hospitality and good times and food and shelter and all that good stuff while we were out in his area doing a 4H meeting...plenty more shooting pics to come. Camera wise these shots range in ISO from about 50-10,000 and you can barely tell the difference between them thanks to insanely low high ISO digital noise or grain!

So LadyRedNB and Aiden, now 12 both took turns with the big .50...and both wanted to shoot more but at $4/round we ran low on ammo fairly quickly. The look on kiddo's face after getting out of the Atom speaks volumes in the above post, literally shaking and sick to his tunny...epic, pretty much same look after realizing the Barrett didnt kick as hard as the average deer rifle...what a friggin tool that is!

Axe had plenty of toys that went bang, I just brought my 9mm...like to stay current, had to put down a deer in the middle of the highway the other night, I hate doing that shit, responding police officer thanks me, no questions asked so I helped him drag the now dead deer off the roadway. The white Benz c250 Sport was my loaner for the weeks MB took to decide I really was going to sue them if they fucked with me about the deadly electronic braking system on my 06...had to throw in some random shop bikes since its technically a bike forum right?

So Steve's Ferrari motor bit him, hard, after 50 miles of running in the oil pump drive failed...on the highway, no pressure warning but a very seized V8 was the result....so in what the boys on FerrariChat would call blasphemy it is getting a real Honda motor instead, tranny, LSD diff too, fuel injection...he actually going to be able to take trips, use AC and cruise control, mundane stuff like actually enjoying the car! I love this project. A BAZILLION thanks to BanzaiRX7 for all his work on this, way, way more than I have put into it!

Looks like the new camera does a nice job. You realize one of John's tacos cost the same as one of those Barrett rounds.

Just saw the Ferrari part. Sucks but a Honda motor is sure to be a big improvement.
    Bikes:
    2007.5 Tuono-Black, with 1102cc's of micah's badness!
2012 Griso-Silver and black, Agostini pipe, some carbon bits.
2006 Vespa GT200-bitubo suspension all around, Malossi big-bore, head and cam, Akrapovic pipe, all put together by Micah.

gone 2002 Caponord-Oyster gray (as faithful as a hound dog)
gone Futura-Red (on the AF1 showroom floor. Get some.)

The more I learn about people, the more I appreciate rocks.
