I also ordered a Dunlop Q2 set so now I can do a Pirelli - Michelin - Dunlop comparison to figure out what feels best for my kind of riding.
If thats the case I would avoid the Pure as it is most deffinitely the "old" one. I have tried both versions and the normal Pure made the front end feel vague. The Pilot Power 2CT is a good alternative for the front and hardly any slower in the dry, but feels great as long as you're on the road. Track work is not it's forte.

The original Corsa tire is fantastic in the dry and work well on track. The Pure is not in the same league. The Pure makes sense if you ever ride in the wet.

Well we'll see how they work out. He said Europe get a lot of tires we don't in the US. These are less than a year old so it would be weird if it wasn't the latest spec.

I know it's not as good as the Pirelli but it's a lot cheaper and the rainy season is coming to Dan Francisco so i want a good all weather tire.

Shop called today to say the 190/55 Power Pure is discontinued and on indefinite backorder as far as getting remaining stock shipped. Even if they could get one I don't want to go that route now because it would suck to find that I really like the tire and can't get it anymore.

So, back to trying out the Dunlop Q2 as a more street friendly/durable alternative to the Rosso Corsa. For track duty I'm considering a second set of wheels and running the Pirelli 200 endurance slick - it lasts forever, got great grip, it's a great value for a track tire.

Today i went for a fast rideout with mates in close to zero temps...dry roads and the Pure tyres were great after the 1st few miles...got a fair bit warmer than some touring tyres which was a surprise...for my riding the Pures cover all my needs on the T.

Got a pretty much brand new set on my T4 not tried them before but will run them and see how they go, for summer trackdays I like Racetecs or Dunlop D201GP racer jobs.

Actually, the dealer is correct. There are no more Pure's from Michelin. They are discontinued. The remaining stock at dealers is all that's left. The replacement for the Power Pure is the new Power 3. The Michelin web site will catch up eventually. I'm disappointed as I really like the Pures and have them on all 3 bikes.

The Pirelli's are good and even perform pretty well on track... I think the crucial factor is always to make sure tyre pressures are appropriate for what I'm doing - General road/mountain passes: F32psi R34psi. Bike trips: always up rear pressure (36psi) for the long straight bits until getting to our favourite spots. Track: F30psi R27psi

I teach at my local track so need good rubber/cost effective solution... my favourite tyres are Metzeler K2 on the front (fabulous grip) and K3 on the rear (great grip and last quite well).

Just to throw another set into the mix. I can thoroughly recommend Bridgestone S20's. Did a track day on them a couple of weeks ago and were very impressed. Warmed up very quickly (only a couple of laps of Brands) and stuck like glue all day. Got kinda chewed up right to the edges so will have to see how many track days they'll last but very happy so far.

Have actually used a set in torrential rain on a Ron Haslam day before and report they still perform great in the wet.
