Are these the standard tires the best performance replacement options?
Thanks.

Depends ..They are very good but worns quickly on track .. " one trackday"
For me they worn way to fast so im using Dunlop sportsmart in rear ..and have 3 trackdays and loots of rubber left and nothing to complain about
Cheers
I've done 3 track days and there's still loads of tread left on mine, I don't wheelie though
Love these tyres.

I liked the Pirellis but mine were dead after 3000kms of road riding. I replaced them with Dunlop Sportsmarts - grip level was very similar but steering is a bit slower. So far they've done 2 track days plus 3500kms and are about 70% worn. I'm thinking I'll try Bridgestone S20's next which are getting pretty good reviews.
i bought pilot pures. They are great!
1 x track day really did wear the softer sides of the Corsa's but felt great on the dry track... 3,800km road riding in a 10 day vacation also managed to slightly square off the harder center line, but there's still life in the rear and I'm nearly at 5,000km.... that's better than my V2 did with 2CT's.... so I might just stay with the OEM tyres...
That said, my front has worn MUCH harder than I'm used to... so maybe the Dunnies after all...
Plus, I really didn't like the feeling I git from the front in the rain on the Corsa's. Reminded me of why I went away from Pirelli's in the first place.
So, not sure which way I'm going yet, whaddya think you guys?

Pilot Power 2CT when my orig go. Always liked the Michelins.
I have Pirelli Diablo Supercorsas on mine now, I have done one track day and a trip to the Isle of Man TT (more than 1000 miles) they are only half worn, slightly flat in the middle but another track day will sort that ;-)
I would definitely recommend them as an aftermarket fitment. They worked surprisingly well in torrential rain on the way to IoM.
Cheers,

I think the rossos are great. Just replaced them with more rossos after about 5200km.
One track day finished them off. My only complaint is that toward the end of the sessions the rear would start sliding around a bit.
Guv mentioned the same thing.
I do about 2 track days a year so I'm not bothered finding anything better.
Great road tyre.
The Rosso Corsos grip nice so far. I don't do track days, but I did notice that on a gritty backroad (good pavement, but very rough surface) the back felt greasy, especially over the tar lines, when it got a bit hot. I kept looking back to see if the tire was going flat. I had a similar feeling on Bridgestones on my GSXR1100. Doesn't make you trust the tire much.
Depends on your religion mostly. My belief is No, they're not. My faith say's SportSmarts or Pure's would be a better choice for allround performance. Similar dry grip, better in the wet and lasting longer. Looking for dry track performance there are more track oriented tires from multiple brands.
But noone ever said I was right...![]()

Just fitted Bridgestone S20 for a track day after running Sportsmarts (4000km) to replace the original Pirellis (3000km). Bridgestones feel less rigid than the Sportsmarts which was noticable with sme squirming under heavy braking compared to the rock solid Dunlops. Grip and general handling has been pretty good on both considering the decent wear rates. Neither steer as quickly as the Pirellis did - Sportsmarts being the slowest steering of the 3 in my experience. Bridgestones are maybe a slightly better general street option (more compliant) than Sportsmarts but there's not much in it and all 3 options are more than good enough for agressive street riding. Personally I wouldn't buy the Pirellis again just based on the cost and wear rates - 3000km including a relatively gentle 1000km of break-in period and no track days is just too expensive considering the performance was not noticably better than the others.
Try Metzeler M5 / Racetecs or Michelin PP2CT / Pures...always been stable tyres with sensible wear rates...if your more of a fast road user than track day fun rider then think about a more touring tyre...current models are super grippy and work at all temps much better than many people expect.
