Such a shame as to what happened to the blue one matey, that was such a lovely looking bike! Still this new one's going to be a beast, will be nice to see it once it's all finished up and make sure you get that video.

be interesting to test how much a STOCK crank and bearings can take with a "heavy" 50cc set up - sure to as powerful as a simple light 70cc set up if you get what i mean

hopfully your crank wont snap and send metal fillings everywhere ruining the cylinder kit ect but if it was me i wudnt hope id just get your race crank swapped into new engine just for piece of mind

well it sounds faster than my 70cc kit ive got atm but my stock crank was in my engine for 3 years and never broke so the bhp must be shocking saying that its a bored out 50cc just bored out to 47mm and exhaust port bored out

if you could get a little money together for bearings, small tub of high temo bearing grease, gaskets and seals id go for it yourself

thing is if you were actually getting 70mph - 75mph then that kits got some power to it! ok minus a little bit due to the stock crank not being as powerful as the race spec crank but if your crank snaps then bye bye engine and defiantly cylinder kit for sure and that would be definatly more expensive

tora tora reckons you can run a bbk up to like 80cc on stock crank but at least he has upgraded crank bearings

there again though if it snaps and everything gets chewed up you could always put your old engine in so you will be ok

only one way to find out though really though you should be ok with the stock crank and that kit

Why put bearing grease on the bearings?
The oil is supposed to make the bearings go smooth?

well im running the standard crank because i just want to get out there and i need to save for my new car

and heres a video of my bike (and its issue but has its own thread) but mostly to show the sound and show the damage to my motorbike (blue rs50)
o yeah at the end is some footage to show the damage to my old rs50 which i crashed into a car (head on! his fault because he pulled out form parked cars my side of the rroad with no lights etc) at 20mph in the rain :'(
