After spending so much time and effort on my Pegaso (2000MY) non runner ebay special, I've rode it for about two weeks before something else went wrong with it yesterday...
It runs and revs but randomly seems to bang and pop and fart through what sounds like a sticky valve at anything below 2000rpm. Thinking it might be a loose flywheel (I've had that off recently) I looked at that tonight, I changed the coil and the pickup with good spares and it's still just the same. I took the airfilter out for a listen but it's not backfiring through that - it definitely sounds like it chuffs/clanks through a valve. It's as if the ignition has developed a mind of it's own.
I've got to admit I'm at the end of my rope with this bike. At this moment with it continuously chucking down with rain outside and with no other means of getting to work,I might take the day off tomorrow and go buy another bike instead. One with a warranty
This thing can go back on ebay in disgust...
