hmm im not sure but i think the tank is very easy to swap over, i was considering doing the same thing a few months back as the new type tank looks great! maybe send "JimmySR" a message as he has converted the 98 model by adding a 2006 rear end and tank!

i heard somewhere it was just a case of changing the rear subframe, i know the 2011+ rs4, its the same actual frame, with a different swinging arm, not sure about the 06-11 ones though, i hope they are!

i can understand why you"d need to change rear swing arm as the length of new tank may be longer so the rear bracket will need to be further back but then the quistion is asked "willl the 99-05 model rear end/tail fit on a 06onwards> swingarm?" unless you want the new type tail aswel

"JimmySR" has fitted the new type tail and tank to his 97 model so it is doable

the new type tanks look the bollox though

2006 seat is horible compaired to the <2005 seat, but it wont fit on there anyway with out serious modifications to the subframe, fueltank is nearly imposible to fit on the aluminium frame, i even think the tank is to narrow for the frame.
