recently put a 16mm carb on my bike was shit and settings were all over the place, also changed the reeds for polini's was smoking bright white smoke and i mean lots of it, i put my old carb back on a and its still doing it, I've tried changing the ratio screw but it doesn't seem to work, its literally pissing fuel out of the exhaust in clouds and clouds of smoke, please help me!

i dont think its fuel flying out the exhaust but alot more likely your headgaskets blown and your burning water and your exhaust will be full of coolant now

I've had this problem before and know what the symtoms are for that, this isn't steam its smoke and its definitely fuel coming out of the exhaust mate

well then its running rich as hell then, need to jet down ALOT and adjust mixture/idle screws accordingly

Crism is right on both points, Standard jets with that setup is really bad, i wouldnt be suprised if you got some nice blue/purple coloured crank and bearings in there now, and a nice set of scratches on the piston and barrel.
And the white smoke defenatly sounds like cooling fluid... it wont be steam mate, its just a bit of vapor, for it to be steam the leak would have to be so bad that the engine wouldnt even start or run at all.
my dads a bike mechanic, he said possibly crank seals? I've barely been riding it at the minute, i whipped the head off not too long ago and the piston looked good, plug is the coffee colour too, my dad refuses to work on my bike now as i put a eve 80 kit on itOriginally Posted by RS_Patrick

If i where you i take the topend off mate, you been running that with a stock mainjet so who knows what state it and posibly the crank are in.
yerr if its been on stock jets and carb then your very lucky not to have a hole in your piston, at the very least the cylinder will have marks on it, maybe a few hot spots on piston crown and there will be purple"y blue marks on crank bearings and crank where its got so hot
