Guy from moscow scooter forum told me that on his piaggio zip with AC engine he put 65 main jet and A7 needle and its start to work as it must. I suppose that on his zip was carb as on link above but has some restrictions in it.

My new carb work perfectly on idling, but i need to test it in action. If you dont wont to spend your money you can wait when winter will end :-) To use this carburetor with default settings (IJ 34, MJ 65, needle A7 in middle position, and 40 slider) you should not to remove airbox restriction. Start scooter with mixture screw unscrewed on two turns counterclockwise. If your carburetor bowl is empty just remove the vacuum valve hose from carburetor and suck the air out of it with your mouth or syringe. The carburetor bowl will fill with petrol and engine will start as soon as you want.

My friend with default cylinder kit, tecnigas rs2 try to use this carburetor too. And he told me that this carburetor work perfectly on default cylinder. Its amazing but with this carburetor removing of airbox restriction changes nothing. WIth stock carburetor if you remove airbox restriction you must change the main jet. The easiest way to derestrict aprilia sr 50 r is to change carburetor as i wrote earlier.
