when changing front sprockets or replacing front sprocket always make sure you put the bevelle/spring washer back on aswell as the top hat type washer, AND!!!!! make sure you put the front sprocket cover back on too. for years now i have run my T without the front sprocket cover motocross bike style, and have changed/swapped front sprockets loads of times but this time forgot one component........the spring washer. even though i tightened the bolt up it decided to come loose which is ordinarily no biggy, cause when the head touches the sprocket cover it winds back it so it is impossible for sprocket to come off, and cause i didn't have it fitted etc etc
long story short.......front sprocket came off, back wheel locked up, chain bent very nearly snapped it, massive dent in swingarm and sprocket milled out loads of metal from swingarm where rubber chain guide lives. so picking up fresh frame and swingarm off my hero brummymax,
but it could of been alot worse......i had just slowed down to about 40/50mph as i had just come off the motorway and was nearly at the top of the slip road, when it locked up the back end felt like it was jumping from side to side like a foot each way!!! if it decided to come off 5 seconds earlier i would of been doing more like 80/90mph in the fast lane and probably landed on my ass
