    new recall/mod via Aprilia

got mail today, Aprilia Austria would like to inform me that they found a new way to improve the throttle response for my bike, 2011 Dorso 1200 ABS "Bianco Glam".
looks like they want to reposition the "throttle sensor" (handlebar) ... work is costfree.

have your dealer run your VIN #. They also mail out letters to all effected USA units. Not all USA bikes are effected. You can email me your VIN and I can run it. ed@af1racing.com

It is for the demand sensor...the part the throttle cables go into for the RBW system, some RSV4 and Tuono V4 are also effected.

man ... once in my life i want to work in a customer support position in the motorcycle industry ... 99% of this people are obscenely incompetent and lazy !!!

    ---

after my inquery at my local dealer i waited 1 week so that they have time to come back to me with some info regarding this "recall" ... today i phoned them ...

    dealer:
"ehm no, we need some further infos from you, so we can contact aprilia regarding your inquery"

    me:
"so, why didn't you call me?"

    dealer:
"we had no phone number from you"

    me:
"i was already 4 times in your store, also i attached my handy number to my inquery email !?"

    dealer:
"ehm yeah, i don't really read my mails, have no time for that."

    in my head:
    W T F !?

i'm soooo close to shoot them in the wind

Thanks Guys! Turns out mine qualifies for recall. Wouldn't have known had it not been for this forum!!
BTW. also having problems with back brake master cylinder, it failed and also indicator switch sticking in left hand operating position so not being cancelled when you press it. Will start a thread to give everyone the heads up!!
