Have you considered keeping a third party insurance policy on a moped ( something cheap ) running to maintain your no claims bonus ? Dunno if you can still do this tbh.
I stopped riding for a while and my bonus lapsed, had to start from scratch >_<

I hate to piss on your candle, but that might not be a good idea. Every time I do "one last" anything, that's when things go wrong. A local dealer (Rochdale) sourced the paint code for me and did them for (i think £360) - can't remember now.
