Leo Vince Highmounts not sitting just right - left side very close to turn signal

    Hi guys,
Just got my "like new" Leo Vince high mounts (thanks again Ray!):

Anyway, the left side is really close to the turn signal, the right seems fine.
I followed the instructions, even noticed one of the bushing was longer than the other and got that right.

    Any suggestions?
    I'll take pictures tomorrow.

Also, these don't appear to have the option to install a baffle/db killer. Anyone know if it's possible?

I had those same cans and I remember it being close but not a problem. I did however continually have a white residue, presumably from those cans, build up inside the turn signal lenses.

I have had the white residue always, I think it's powdered clear turn signal from vibration...
Guess I'll ride for a while and see what happens.
Damn these are loud. They sound great, but loud.

first Id like to start by saying those Leo high mounts look GREAT!!

I love those on our bikes.

I cant say if its related at all, but my arrows didnt line up quite perfect, ended up shifting around the mounting hardware and spinning the can alittle and I got it to fall into place.

Thought you guys might like to see yet another example of Leo high mounts.
Love these pipes, more power than Akros. Don't have a bit of problems.

Zilla, that looks great. Can you share more detail about where/how you are attaching that bracket to the subframe?

As I told another forum member who wanted to buy my Leo high mount mid pipe set, I am taking them to a local automotive design, engineering and fabrication shop that I know can duplicate them to the exact dimension and materials. Once that is done and I have a price, I will post it. In the meantime, I also intend to take my Arrows carbon cans and have them modified to accept the Leo high mid pipes. Bingo, I will have a high mount Arrows cannister setup. I asked Zilia about his really sweet custom cannister mounting brackets. Those are some very nice brackets that mount under the seat.

The brackets we're made from 1 inch x 1/8 alum angle from the local hardware store. I cut and hacked them to the shape I wanted and drilled a couple holes to pick up the two screws under the seat. I'll try and take better pictures a little later and put them up if you want. I also shortened the mid pipe by about an inch and a half at the muffler end, to tuck them in a little more.

    Cheers

I used 09 R1 cans from Leo for my high mounts because they are a bit shorter. They look great and are still available.

    Not same as avatar.

Thanks guys. I visited Leo Vince last week. No quiet inserts in stock, the ones they had didn't fit.
Saw these (they will fit and have a quiet insert):
    Very tempted...
