Fuel pump screech during pre start priming

Hello Everyone,
I have owned my 02 Futura for 6 years now and recently noticed in the last year that sometimes when the fuel pump is priming prior to pressing the starter it will squeal or screech louder than normal. Anyone else experience this before? Is this a sign that the fuel pump may be starting to fail? The squeal does not happen often and the bike still seems to start and run just fine when it happens. The bike has about 20,000 miles

Mine does the same thing on occasion. I've noted no problems with my fuel pump other than that, and when I had it apart last month to replace the fuel filter all *looked* fine inside. I've got 32k on mine.

Rebuilt / replaced fuel pump fuel filter recently
Got 70K miles
