    Gabro's V2/V5

    As I've probably pointed out :P ....
Im recently running Gab's V2/V5 eprom.

At the moment Im only using the V5 as I havent put in a switch yet.
I know I'll not switch it over that often to V2, but does anyone have a switch installed?
Im curious where you've placed it amd what kinda switch to use!

    Pics plz!!!

seen a few of these over the years, so ran a Search on 'map switch'.
After reading through good and bad info, and general piss taking, there are these.

Thanks for doing my homework Quick!
I did some searching but unfortunately without result...

Liking the idea of putting the switch on the handlebars.
But since it'll be used rarely i think the option of the connector will do just fine!

    Edit:
Btw switching can be done whilst the beast is purring right?

    Nevermind!!! Is should RTFM!!!

    np...
and, the AF1 quick-release pins for the seat (AND the tank) just might be worth the investment, popping the seat off takes but a couple seconds.
I think they work out to about $280/lb, but...

not as bad as a $13.99 friggin hose clamp!!! http://www.af1racing.com/store/Scrip...idproduct=2389

I made my own quick release pins by using long shank bolts. I cut the allen head off and threaded them in far enough to find a decent amount of shank to drill a hole then used a small clip to secure seat. Pull clip, pop seat off.

    Yeah, I'm cheap............................................

Yeah, I fitted a dual map Gab recently and installed a switch while at it. Mounted it under the pillion on one of the unused plastic lugs for relays.

I just purchased a small lever switch, two pole, and soldered it in. Works OK. Now have a nice mellow 'wet' mode as well as full on 'lairy'

For the record, I just crimped on a wee quick-release connector to the #16 wire; all I have to do is pop the seat, and yank it apart, or push it together.
But... I don't feel a need to mess with it, as the map 2 is richer, for the open airbox which is not currently installed.

Oh- I also put a really small zip/spoke tie on the cotter pins that lock the seat pins - easier to grab when removing.

i dont think it would make that much of a noticable difference unless you were motorway droning. even so i managed to get 10 mile to the liter with gabros chip + 57mm throttle bodies. usually get about half that when giving it a good spanking.

I found a nice weatherproof handlebar mount toggle switch, I can post a picture later. Not too cheap, but nice and clean and doesn't take up much space.
