    RSV4 custom under tail exhaust

I know most of you don't approve of this and are but...

If I choose to do a custom under tail exhaust how will it affect my bike; will the balance really be that off if it's center? and i'm pretty sure it will be light than the stock exhaust...

Do it so I can see what it looks like! heh

my idea is to buy this exhaust.....270.00 & have a custom mid pipe for it, I like the GP can look from Austin racing or this or Termignoni. Just adds to the motogp look & sound with your V4 engines hehe

I'd want a dual exhaust but worried about the balance and all... I think the RSV4 would be insane with a under tail exhaust

    Buy a 748/916/996/998 or a 848/1098/1198 for the undertail pipes. Even a MV-F4.

what's with all the haters? if he wants to modify his bike to be original and not the same as all you other tossers then good on him.

I say go for it, is there room to run the up pipes through the swinger? even if you just ran 1 and then split it into to for the mufflers?

You should definitely do it i say! i love undertails... here's the through tail that i made on my SV650 when i had it.

that i would have to agree with... it's one of the things that got my attention...

yea i'm thinking about going with this...

or like a short austin racing, one that doesn't need the passenger foot pegs as support... don't like high exhausts.

Important to note that the undertail is not rated for that heat. So you would also need to make a heat shield. Furthermore you are shifting the centre of gravity to higher in the bike, not sure if that would unbalance the bikes geo, but you would need to make changes there also to conteract the change in centre of gravity.

Like the panigale mufflers/exhausts have been designed under the bike and in the middle so that the centre of gravity is low. This in turn also effects steering.

Although it would look great and different, it would detract away from a neat tidy tail like the V4 and also would require some geo changes so that the bike handles like it currenlty does.

But hey if your not tracking it and it is for show it shouldnt matter.

At the end of the day it is your bike and anything can be done with a little time, effort and patience. I would love to see the overall outcome of it. Just keep in mind the other things you would need to do when you do a conversion like this, geo (suspension) and some type of heat shield under the tail. Good luck....

You can try retrofitting a Taylormade exhaust?
