Question Where to get coolant lines

Related to my "Blew it up" thread, I need to replace all the coolant lines on my Beo 150. Some are readily-available straight hoses that the FLAPS would have cheap, but 2 in particular (5 and 7 on the diagram on AF1's site) are special (molded T-fittings with one side bigger than the rest) and I was thinking I'd need to get OEM parts. Until I found that one is $68 and the other is $58. $126 for 2 coolant lines seems a little steep. Has anyone else faced this harsh reality? What did you do? Can copper plumbing fittings be made to work? I know they could handle the pressure, but the heat may be an issue.
Anything to avoid paying 125 bucks for 3 feet of rubber hose.....
    Thanks
    Steve

I would Use metal Connectors From the likes of Hayden they make good cooling systems upfit stuff For that Long hose you could even make that whole run copper Sweat A T at stat connection You can look on Wall in bck Auto parts store at Pre made Heat hoses Youd be shocked You migh find a Hose so similar Twill work I did that With Valve cover Breather hose Find pre made Heater hoses rom Auto almost right Cut n make it work pretty easy. Could wind up stronger N cooler than Factory any copper will cool quicker and wick heat away Strap copper run to Frame With clamp/s Usae bendable copper like lquid line use in Ac work (home depot)

Just remember if you start adding copper tubing to make sure you are using a mixed metal coolant afterwards so the soft copper tubing and the aluminum engine block don't start an electrolytic reaction against each other.
