    Scarabeo 50 Fuel Pump swap?

Im working on a 2003 Scarabeo 50 2-stroke and had a problem starting. It has been started in years so I systems check from the fuel downwards. I found out that the fuel pump is shot. The plastic connecting to the pumping rod is broken and the motor doesn't work properly in the pump. Instead of Ordering a new $200+ pump from Aprilia, Im thinking of using a Facet Micro electric pump with an inline regulator.

This is the Pump Im going to use.
    Facet Posi Flo.
The site is missprinted, Its actually 1.5-4.5 PSI.

    And this is the regulator.
    Spectre Fuel Pressure Regulator.

Im not sure what the Stock Aprilia Fuel Pump PSI is but Im thinking it can be any more then 2 PSI for the 50cc.

Im going to run the Fuel Pump then the Regulator along with a Fuel Filter.
Do you think I will have any problems with this setup?
I'd rather have to replace a $50 fuel pump in the future then a $200+ dealer part if needed.

    Please advise, Thank You!

Your posting in the carb section. You need to post in the Ditech section.
FYI, that fuel pump won't work.
    Ditech fuel pumps are 150psi
