    Loose Hose Surgery

The other day I notice this hose was loose (see photo) -- it comes from the front of the crankshaft, and had a tear in in about two inches from the base. So I cut off the hose just above the tear.

Hate to admit but I' don't know what this hose is for. Is it important that I replace right away? Bike seem to still be running fine.

Vent tube was my thought also. Should be shown in the owners manul or in the part fiche listed on-line in the scooter section of the AF1 store.

It's a 2008 Scarabeo 200. Just wondering now if I need to replace or if it's all right at its new 2-inch cut-off length.

Just secure it with a nylon "zip tie" or a piece of chewing gum. :-) Or baling wire if you live in Kentucky.
