    My new Mana

Picked up my Mana last week with a 300 mile ride to bring it home. I have ridden one before but it is different to say the least but I know I made the right choice.
It's one of the early GT ABS models and although the screen is good at keeping your body and most of your head out of the airstream I found it very very noisy to say the least after nearly 5 hours or so. I'm just short of 6 feet tall

I think I'll get a main stand for it as I think I may get a little more fuel in it as well as it leans on so much on the side stand? I seem to do about 52 miles to the Imp gallon cruising at 70 mph but it was windy and I did have top box and full pannier set on as well and they certainly stick out in the air stream.
    I'll see how I go.

Welcome! I put the larger screen on mine, and just accept that all the luggage destroys the fuel economy.

    Ride safe!

    Added:

    three cases
    stelvio hand guards
    dual horns (hi-lo), both louder
    sliders--both forks, engine/frame, and handlebars

    keeping the silly canister

Could I just ask as did you put the larger screen on the GT? If so did you remove the fairing or was it an unfaired model?

Here's the 'larger' screen for the GT. It's a direct replacement for the OEM screen - 2 bolts, slip off/on. No changes to the fairing. It helps but still doesn't push the air above the helmet (6 ft rider).

Can I trouble you for some more guidance on the "larger" screen as I understand that it does improve matters? I can't really find any worthwhile dimensions so it would be great if you could give me some guidance because comparing pictures is difficult.

The original screen is about 15" measured at the front from the centre top of the screen down to the top of the front Aprilia emblem.
The overall screen height is 16" from the top of the iginition switch to the top of the screen.
Finally the top of the screen is 10.5" straght across the curve.
If you could measure your screen than I can get some idea of the size increase.
    Many many thanks

"The original screen is about 15" measured at the front from the centre top of the screen down to the top of the front Aprilia emblem." [19 1/4 in]
"The overall screen height is 16" from the top of the iginition switch to the top of the screen." [18 1/2 in]
"Finally the top of the screen is 10.5" straght across the curve." [11 1/2 in straight across the back of the curve, 13 across the front (arc)]

If you are looking for a windless solution and you're taller than 5' 8'', this screen is NOT going to be the answer. You could install a laminar lip or one of the other 'extender' add-ons to route the air higher.

Many thanks. One thing I didn't realise until now is that when you ride a naked bike at 70mph you get the wind at 70 assuming it is not a headwind. With the GT although most of your torso is not being blasted I guess the wind on your face must be a lot higher than the actual bike speed across the ground. At 6 foot tall I get the air blast about a quarter of the way up my visor(easy to detect by holding the flat of your hand horizontal and lifting it up slowly into the air blast.) So the taller screen although it is a good 2 inches taller may only move it up an inch. Anyone tried one of the "extender" add ons to the original GT screen? If not is it a pair of ear plus?
