What else would you say it is? Nothing is getting in the cylinder, it runs good so the inside seal is doing its job. Outer seal failed cause it either moved or I have it too tight maybe? If too tight could cause seal failure.

I don't see any other option than to pull and inspect if you want to solve this.. And use the correct torque.. Are you sure you didn't strip any of the threads?

    Yeah pretty sure.

Is there an easier way to drain the gas tank than pulling the injector lines?

Get a hand crank gas tank pump.

Most ¼" torque wrenches max out somewhere between 200 and 250 lb-in, so that is 16.6 to 20.8 lb-ft.

Can I use something like this in with the O ring water seal in the head?

Used it on the vespa trans since the paper gasket kept leaking, and it worked like a champ.

Make sure it isn't trickling down off the thermostat housing.

Ok pulled the head without pulling the motor.
I should have taken pictures but I pulled the access panel to the battery.

Popped off the Coolant lines and drained them into a can.
Accessed the FI cluster from the battery area. Loosen those 2 bolts.
Unplug the 2 connectors and pull the head while it is still in the scoot.

1/4inch drives, 3/8 drives with multiple extensions will be needed.
I could even get my 1/4inch tq wrench on the bolts afterwards.

The very bottom of the seal got pinched. Got it fixed with some sealant and the old gasket was in good shape still.
