    Looking for a used silmoto

    Hi everyone.

I'm looking for a used silmoto exhaust for my 550.
Supermoto or Enduro doesn't make a difference, but Supermoto is preferred.
    Complete system, alu or titan.

Price... no idea, as cheap as possible but depends on condition, but max. 500€ (incl. shipping)

And please do not forget the shipping goes to Austria (Europe), so the shipping costs are higher.

500EUR are about 625USD or 400GBP if I calculated correctly

    Thanks

I have a used Titanium Silmoto single outlet which I will sell CHEAP. It requires a repair to the front header as it's cracked where it meets the flange and has a small hole where the rear shock spring was rubbing. It still works perfectly, I only replaced it because I found an Arrow single outlet for a good price. 275€ plus shipping.

Oh and the spring attachment point on the front header cracked so it was repaired by cutting a stronger bracket from some thick walled Ti pipe!

    Hi daws, sounds very interessting!

Could you post some pictures of the positions that need a repair? (the cracked thingy, the hole, ...)
The spring attachment point has been repaired already? Can you show me a picture here too?

And maybe you can tell me the shipping costs to austria?

    Sounds very good though
    Regards

    Hello,

as I'm waiting for daws reply, are there any other offers?

And I got a second question: I want to volume up my stock exhaust. Is this possible by removing the small pieces at the end of the exhaust? Or isn't that a good idea?
I mean those small round things inside the oval endpipes: https://www.dropbox.com/s/59r6tggx9o...516_203813.jpg
And just to be 100% sure that you know what I mean: http://slorider.com/Aprilia/manuals/...og_2007-02.pdf Page 20 Number 25 and 26
    Thanks again guys

//edit: Got the name of these things... "spark arrestor". Will the exhaust be louder after removing? Or isn't it a good idea?
    Any help appreciated.

Hi Korgoth1 and thanks for your answer.
Sorry, but my english isn't the best, what do you mean with "on pavement"? You mean as long as the bikes stands in my garage?
Will the exhaust be louder after removing those things?

    Thanks again!

PS: Since daws isn't responding anymore, are there any other offers? Silmoto enduro preferred...

Korgoth1 means that if your riding in the forest or "off road" the spark arrestors stop any hot particles coming out and setting shyt on fire, there for if your on the road it doesn't mater as much

I always drive onroad / track, so no forest or something.

I have a VDB on my RXV and are told it shoots flames, no fires yet. I would think a red hot header pipe would starting a fire easier when you end up in the trees.

ApeTheGreat: Yeah korgoth1 maybe said the same but you have to talk to me like a child, cause my english isn't the best so I don't understand every term. You said it in a... well... let's say more understandable way But I thank korgoth1 as well

fedgreen: Agreed. But as long as my SXV won't see any forest at all, a hot header pipe or flames are no problem. Sound and style are more important

daws: Still very interessted, tell me when you know the shipping costs please. And another question, do you know the db with this exhaust? Because here in austria there are max 96 db allowed on tracks. Thanks again.

I'm not sure why you would want to remove them. They help shield the underside of the bike - plastic from hot exhaust.
