    Falco - Mille Exhaust

Hi Guys, I have a Mille stainless oil tank and a Mille oil cooler. Is that all I need to fit a Mille single exit exhaust system to my Falco? I am going to refit my twin Ti akra system back on my Mille and use the single system on the Falco.Cheers Doug.

If you have a Mille/Tuono swingarm on your Falco, then yes, that's it. If not, the stock swinger will contact the end of the collector and you'd have to weld in an extension.

Great! The tank alone makes the Falco look a lot cooler me thinks. Agreed with Gary, post pics! And while you are in the neighborhood, throw away the Falco sprocket cover and fit a new model RSV sprocket cover. It no longer hides the clutch slave cilinder, and undresses the girl even more...

Hmmm I used to have the mille stainless tank and cooler ..... but now I've got the modified mid section that allows a 2:1 exhaust with Falco headers, I've chosen to go back to the Falco oil tank as it fits better and I think it looks better.

I have only just fitted an Ohlins rear shock and steering damper, I am waiting for the Ohlins forks to come from the USA, I am also waiting for Micahs BST wheels to get here. I also have a set of blue oz rims that may look good on the bird as it is the Fast Yellow one! The swinger was off a 03 Tuono and I had to get it bead blasted to get the powder coat off, so I have much work to do to get it looking good. So hard to find a no damage early swinger. I will post some pics later today.

No argument whatsoever ... but the Mille tank has got to weigh a third of the Falco's brick, in either black or stainless.

VD's right on with the sprocket cover!

Too true weight wise .... but the rider carries the most unnecessary weight.
+another1 on the sprocket cover (tuono ones being cheaper than mille ones)

You asked for Pics SD so here you go! I Rode the Bird today for the first time with the Ohlins rear fitted, It was off a 2000 Mille R so I set it up to std R specs. The difference was amazing, purely confidence inspiring the and bike is now awesome. Hooks up better and in the bumpy corners it was outstanding, you can now feel the forks working their ring out trying to keep up, can't wait to get the Ohlins forks fitted now.

Yeah the Ohlis shock makes a huge difference and you'll find that the OZ wheels do too.
Don't get so excited about the Ohlins forks though - they are better but not that much better than the standard Showa or Marzocchi forks (unless your current forks are in need of a good service and set up)

The old rear shock was set on the standard settings, in fact the shock was that bad the bump stop had disintergrated. It was like a pogo stick when warm and bottomed out continually when pushed hard on bumpy roads. The Falco has done 17000 miles and the Ohlins forks I have purchased cost about 500 quid or 650 USD, and they have only just been serviced by AF1. I have Ohlins on my Mille R and love them. So I figure Ohlins forks recently serviced versus 'who knows' Showas?????. If my Falco with Ohlins ends up feeling close to the Mille I will be more than happy.
