I love my Duc and its my 2nd one but dam why do they put cheap nuts n bolts on bikes! Been doing some upgrades and it never fails the dam heads get strip, my father sold Grade 8 stuff for 40 yrs and always told "Never reuse a Torqued Bolt or Nut.
Replaced the Engine/Frame bolts tonight with Nichols and sure as chit the rear had to be drilled out.
Crap!
Saving my pennies for a New Bike for the Stable....for now I'll just ride the Duc.
I understand that it may have to do with the threads. The Italians like to use fine pitch threads. Which are easier to strip than coarse pitch threaded fasteners.
Which doesn't alleviate your problem. But there it is.
