    Powervalve blades keep snapping

    The end of my powervalve blades, where the cable goes into, keep snapping off and i dont know why! Someone please help, i cant afford to keep replacing these blades!

    i assume the tension from your solenoid is too tight thats is why this is happening. kindly ensure you have the correct sag to prevent this.

    Is your bike standard or modified? I had a similar issue whilst running excessively rich jetting, I'm thinking it caused the PV to become harder for the solenoid to pull or somehow conduct more heat allowing the cable to pull through more easily.

    There is a bit of slack on the cable where ti joins to the solenoid, and also it does need jetting! Its getting dyno'd and jetted wednesday, but i need the powervalve working so its jetted accordingly. Thanks for the responses

    Slack in the solenoid is specified at around the 10mm mark, so far as I recall, that'll most likely be what you're referring to. You're right to want it to be fully functioning, the dyno will be a waste otherwise.
