Dorna announces they are going to hose all the tracks with water for the remainder of the season to insure exciting races.
Who wasn't rooting for Rossi to beat Stoner today? Pre-race told the story: Rossi, smiling, vamping for the camera with Schumacher....Stoner, tense, shrugging,........Rossi two more years because I think he still loves racing and it shows. Stoner, retiring, going out as the dominant rider on the grid and no longer really happy racing bikes. Proably Rossi's best finish for the year, but who nows...it could be a rainy year.

Or maybe he knows Rossi isn't a title threat and certainly not worth throwing 16 points away. Win it or bin it does not win world titles. Both Stoner and Pedrosa were having the same problems with getting heat into their rear tyres today. A relatively poor weekend for the team but that's racing for you. The tables will probably turn again at Catalunya.
Good to see Rossi back where he belongs again. Hopefully Ducati can use this morale boost as a springboard for the rest of the season. To have more riders fighting at the front every weekend would be a result for any real MotoGP fan.

Ahh Stacey, a Moaner to the end. First he cries that "this sport has changed a lot and it’s changed to the point where I’m not enjoying it" and decides to give up. Always blaming someone else. Then today after getting beaten by Rossi, (spin it any way you like, he was beaten), he blames the conditions changing, the tires, anything but himself.

Today Rossi beat Stoner, why do you still deal with Stoner and not Rossi? For once after 19 races Rossi was faster than Stoner and you still moaning about Stoner.

One finish ahead of Stoner in more than a season. Spin it any way you like, that's called getting your ass kicked
Perhaps you would prefer if Stoner was another corporate robot nodding and smiling for the cameras and always praising the bike, even when it wasn't as good as it could be.
Maybe you could explain why you jump to criticise Stoner for explaining a relatively poor result, and yet you are strangely silent for the entire time Rossi has been criticising his own ride. Pedrosa also struggled with rear traction, as did the tech3 Yamaha riders. Are you going to lambast them as whiners as well?

Geez, the Rossi fanatics are celebrating one 2nd place finish in two seasons. Next they'll spin it as the reason Stoner is retiring.

Sometimes I have to conclude that Rossi is both the best and the worst thing to happen to Grand Prix motorcycle racing in recent history. While there is obviously a huge benefit to the sport of attracting millions of new fans, it has to be said that many of these new fans understand very little about the sport and seem to bring a brainless football fan mentality with them. That might be fine on a grass field, but on a racetrack, where people risk their lives to entertain us, it's ignorant and disrespectful.

I'll live with the dummies as long as they bring their wallets. The more money involved the more money to develop the sport, and the less CRT crap we have to watch. Besides, you can still recognize the true fans vs. the "football fans."
